HELMETS
arai quantum/e quartz-2 w/blue iridium lensTOPScost: ~$500 purchased from: momentum motorcycles, inc (888) 221-0718shoei rf-800 trump (ace) w/blue iridium lens
notes: this is, by far, the best helmet i have every tried. if you are gonna spend the money, get an arai. if you can afford it, get the rx7. the quantum/e is a great helmet though. the extendable chin spoiler, breath guard, and vents are all phenomenal features. the interior is plush and form fitting. though only the cheek pads are removable/replaceable, that is still more than most helmets. the iridium lens is tops as well. it is not just a single color lens like other companies (read: shoei). it actually reflects different colors depending on the angle (blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, etc). finally, the graphics are top notch with the stickers applied beneath the clear coating. cost: ~$400 purchased from: momentum motorcycles, inc (888) 221-0718
notes: this was my first helmet that got replaced after my crash. it was a very good quality helmet with good vents and cool graphics. but then i got my arai and couldn't believe how inferior shoei's popular high end helmet was. no chin spoiler, optional

corcoran mach boots (used to usMISCELLANEOUScost: $55 purchased from: uniform replacement at davis-monthan afb
notes: i used to use hi-tec magnums. i haven't fully broken the corcoran's in yet, but i think the hi-tecs were more comfortable. the corcorans look much better though. they do not look as funny when you wear them with normal pants (jeans, cords, etc)
